TRAPPED


Silent tears fall
Unseen, unheard 
A heart that's breaking
Without a word.

Trapped in a cage
Of the mind's own making
A prisoner of thoughts
That are suffocating.

The pain is real
Though it's hidden away
No one knows the struggle
Of getting through each day.

So if you see someone
Who seems lost in thought
Be kind, be patient
For battles may be fought.

For those who silently hurt
And feel trapped in their mind
May you find your way out
And a peace that's kind.
