TRAPPED

Image
Silent tears fall Unseen, unheard  A heart that's breaking Without a word. Trapped in a cage Of the mind's own making A prisoner of thoughts That are suffocating. The pain is real Though it's hidden away No one knows the struggle Of getting through each day. So if you see someone Who seems lost in thought Be kind, be patient For battles may be fought. For those who silently hurt And feel trapped in their mind May you find your way out And a peace that's kind.

THE BLACK SHEEP

Image
You get treated like a pariah For going against the grain Your shadow is your only friend Because you've grown accustomed to being alone Being alone, isolated on an island Surrounded by crystal clearwater With Hope on the horizon You take pride in being labelled an outcast An outcast, you stand stronger As one opposed to following a herd You'd rather be heard Than to blend in with the weeping sheep Weeping sheep try to close the distance By creating tension disguise as good intentions They beg you to blend in Because they fear what you will become When you realize your potential Your potential is God given Follow your intuition Your heart knows best Been the Black sheep means You are divided from the rest. ADDICTED TO THE DARK SIDE

"Hey!!! Don't move, turn around, your hands placed on top of your head. Any cat swinging move from you I will blow off your brain from your head". ................................................................................................................................       Clinton, the only son of Mr and Mrs Ken was known for his notorious antics and wayward lifestyle. Some may call it useless but he is was a complicated life indeed. Growing from a rich home he had everything only a wealthy man's child could have. His mom Mrs Rose Ken a banker tried her possible best to raise him in a godly manner, a good boy from his early years of livelihood maybe I was cursed he would always say in his later years. Hey Clinton, do you want to finish a packet of cigarette asked Stony his friend and a member of their gang. I am a gangster with minimum years to live, mine is a short life I have to make the most of it replied Clinton. By smoking, Stony sharply asked

CHRISTIANO RONALDO (CR7): THE LION OF MADEIRA

"As I said am not giving up my place for free. 2026 world cup we'll be there".                                                          Ronaldo "We can clearly see that FIFA hates Ronaldo, I do not know how Ronaldo won 5 Ballon d'Ors in the era of corrupted FIFA. Ronaldo winning 5 Ballon d'Ors is like winning 50 Ballon d'Ors as we can see there, they do politics and they favour only one person everytime and criteria also changes every year only for that person". (Frank Lampard).       Christiano Ronaldo dos Santos Aveiro is a Portuguese professional footballer who plays as a forward for and captains both Saudi Pro League club Al Nasser and the Portugal national team. He was born on February 5, 1985. He is widely regarded as one of the greatest players of all time. Okuama Community vs Nigerian Soldiers: Please Consider the Innocents

Image
It is no longer news that sixteen able bodied, gallant soldiers of the Nigerian Army were ambushed and killed by some unknown assailants in Okuama Community in Ughelli South LGA of Delta State. Their deaths have become a trending topic on social media. Based on what we know to be true, the Nigerian Army cannot let the issue bypass just like that. Though it's a good thing for soldiers to respond quickly when threatened so that the next common enemy will think twice before double crossing gallant soldiers. Ambushing soldiers on a mission is a call for war and I sincerely know that the soldiers will not take it likely. But their are systematic way of doing things, matured ways of handling issues. That is why we have strategists and I believe their are strategists in the army. When we hear of the Whites way of handling diplomatic issues, it sounds dynamic. Too many lives have been lost already, much blood spilled on the ground, when will it end?       I believe as I brave t

Tupac Shakur: The Rose That Grew From The Concrete

Image
"I'm not saying I'm gonna change the world but I guarantee I will spark the brain that will change the world".                                            Tupac Shakur Tupac Amaru Shakur born Lesane Parish Crooks; June 16, 1971- September 13, 1996 also known by his stage names 2pac and Makaveli, was an American Rapper. He is widely considered one of the most influential and successful rappers of all time. Shakur is among the best selling music artists having sold more than 75million records worldwide. Much of Tupac's music has been noted for addressing contemporary social issues that plagued inner cities. Tupac was born on June 16, 1971 in East Harlem Upper Manhattan, New York City. While born Lesane Parish Crooks, at age one he was renamed Tupac Amaru Shakur. He was named after Tupac Amaru 11, the descendant of the last Incan ruler who was executed in Peru in 1781 after his failed revolt against Spanish rule. Tupac's mother Afeni Shakur explained &

What Do The Smartest People Do in their Free Time

Image
Come to think of it, but seriously I've really pondered and wondered what sets us apart from the 1% of people who have made the top their abode. These minority of people keep growing higher and higher and higher while the majority of the world continues living in shambles. These first class students keeps on enlarging in knowledge, strength and wealth while 90% of homosapiens continues sinking like Titanic.      What is their secret? What is it about them? What is it that they do that we don't? Why do they keep climbing up and up and up while most fall and remain stagnant for life. Most don't even grow at all talk more of falling. What is it about these smart men and women, the minority 1%?      Sometimes I sit and ponder and I wonder how these men with high IQ solve most of the world's problems. How do they come about these solutions, where do they get them from? Where did they get these high IQs from? How did they become geniuses? The smartest people on e

Five Simple Traits of High Valued Men

Image
They Constantly try to Improve and Achieve More       It is very easy for Christiano Ronaldo to hang up his boots and declare he has retired from professional football. But mehn the man doesn't want to drop, he doesn't want to retire, maybe he has a goal of becoming the highest goal scorer of all times at least for a decade or more before his records would be broken. Everyday he strives, he constantly continues to improve himself even at his age. What are my saying in essence, to become a high valued man, a man of great repute, you have to constantly do something that will push you higher than where you are. Even if things don't go as planned at least instead of falling, you will maintain your stance, your position. Do something every day that moves you to a higher level, read, work, fight for your place, be disciplined, push, persevere, persist, by all means keep moving. "If you can't fly then run. If you can't run then walk. If you can't walk

The Rainy Day

Image
The day is cold and dark and dreary It rains and the wind is never weary The vine still clings to the mouldering wall But at every gust more dead leaves fall And the day is dark and dreary. My life is cold and dark and dreary It rains and the wind is never weary My thoughts still cling to the mouldering past And youth's fond hopes fall thick in the blast And my life is dark and dreary. Be still sad heart and cease repining Behind the clouds is the sun still shining Thy fate is the common fate of all Into every life some rain must fall Some days must be dark and dreary. Written by Poet Henry Wadsworth Longfellow.

Sometimes I Cry

Image
Sometimes when I'm alone I cry Cause I am on my own The tears I cry are bitter and warm They flow with life but take no form I cry because my heart is torn I find it hard to carry on If I had an ear to confiding I would cry among my treasured friend But who do you know that stops that long To help another carry on The world moves fast And it would rather pass by Than to stop and see what makes one cry So painful and sad And sometimes I Cry And no one cares to know why. Composed by American Rapper Tupac Shakur.

The Tough Road

Image
I shall be telling this with a sigh Somewhere ages and ages hence Two roads diverged in a wood, and I I took the one less traveled by, And that has made all the difference.                                     Robert Frost.      One day I was sitting, thinking, seriously I was lost in thoughts. Reflecting, reminiscing, I love to introspect a lot, recollecting facts and I pondered and wondered like a puzzle that needed solving, I asked myself; why are there only few successful individuals on planet earth? Was it ordained this way by God? We're some men predestined to be more successful than others? What separates the best from the rest? Was it luck, because I don't believe it to be, though you can argue that some are more fortunate than others. I can't sit still and wonder why some men shine more than others. In the music industry, dated back to the 90s, the late rapper Tupac Shakur was the most famous, successful and also the most influential rapper even unto thi

Will I Still Make It

Image
Like I'll always say "it's not easy being who we are". It's not easy starting from nothing and working to reach the top. Grappling with over responsibility, depression and pressure, I will push through no matter what. Who would have believed that that little Grant of yesterday would wake up one day, carry his bag and on his way to an unknown Town. The problem is not even with the journey and I know I have not reached my destination or my wits end, but the problem is with my impatience that cost me a lot of opportunities laid out to me from the Being and Spirits that be for my unconquerable soul. How I wish and had I known will now come in at last.      Beyond my quiet and calm spirit. Beyond the excesses of my quiet life. Beyond the impunity of my soul lies regrets, pains, sorrows, tears, loneliness, fear, bitterness, confusion, anger, hatred, suicide, mistakes and failure. Beyond my fearless and formidable soul I ask myself unafraid and unapologetical

The Writer's Resolution

Image
Last year was very tough for me, I passed through a lot, made a lot of mistakes, I didn't learn from my past experiences, change looked impossible to me, it was like I wasn't going anywhere, like I was stuck in a maze, put in a circle by my own laziness and negative thoughts and truth be told, I achieved nothing. I decided that this year will not be the same, I'd rather die than live an inferior life.      Lo and behold, 2024 surfaced, I said to my young self; it is now or never. Enough of the procrastinations, the laziness, the doubts, the negativity, if I was sure that I truly wanted to become a great writer, it is now or never. I made my resolutions, I carved out my plans, I wrote down my goals, I was ready to go the length, to climb the hills, I was ready to make sacrifices and willing to go the extra mile. Though there are some progress, some changes, but I've not gotten to where I want to be, it's a process, Rome wasn't built in a day.      To

The Writer's Struggle

Image
Oh!!! Who would lend us a hand? The writer's journey ain't an easy path to endeavor. They said; it is the path that leads to greatness, is it? Obsessed with likes, claps, response, replies, followers, the writer spends the day studying. Worried about moving onto the next phase, the author spends his night writing. Nothing worthwhile comes easy. I'd rather spend the night writing than live a life of conformity. Writing can be a challenging process and it's not uncommon for writers to struggle with it. However, the degree of struggle varies from person to person, and it can also depend on the type of writing they're doing. For some writers, writing comes naturally and they may not struggle as much with the process. For some, writing is a very laborious task because there are so many subcomponents which need to be pulled together. For others, the reason lies in some processing difficulties such as dyslexia. It may also be referred to as reading disability,

The Struggle Never Ends

Image
When I was still very little, I can remember seeing my Dad wake up early everyday in a bid to prepare for work. Every single day he woke up early and moved out in order to provide daily bread for us, in order to put food on our table and if not for sickness my Dad will still be hustling even till today. It made me wonder what there is to this life of eternal struggle. Even the then richest man of Africa Alhaji Aliko Dangote would go out everyday in search of money, just like Nigerian musician Burna Boy, self named African Giant said in one of his songs "Dangote still dey find money". Even unto the end of eternity man's struggle never ends.       It ain't easy, no one said it would be easy but we believe in the long run it will be worth it. Your tears are a sign that you've been strong for too long, you've been fighting, seems like you are not winning, like you are not progressing, nothing is moving, like you are stuck in a maze, the pain is tougher
